Challenge Cards – Thanks and Cheers!

Today I am sharing two challenge cards I created for a variety of challenges currently ongoing. See each card for the challenge links and for more details. I hope these cards inspire you to take part in a challenge or two, there are plenty out there!

Challenge Card 1 - Thanks for everything!

Living in the UK we don’t have Thanks giving day obviously, however we do still send thank you cards now and then! And as the weather is starting to turn, I wanted to create an Autumnal Thank you card.

I used the Freshly Made Sketch below as the inspiration for the layout, I just turned it horizontally!

I have added a lot of dimension to this card by foam mounting several different layers. All in all, this card has three foams worth of dimension! I think this gives it a lot of interest.

Following all that dimension I added in extra texture with the use of a die cut leaf in varying colours. I love how it has cut the veins of the leaves. Lastly, I embellished the card with Tonic Nuvco Drops, as though they are berries, and added Wink Of Stella over the main sentiment.

Do you like this project? Why not pin it and save for later? It will be there for when you need it!

Card Challenge 2 - Cheers!

The second card I have created combined a sketch challenge (see below), colour challenge and texture challenge.

For this card, I wanted to make a CAS card and felt the layout and colour scheme really lent themselves to this. Instead of adding a die cut sentiment out, I wanted to use the negative part of the die cut to give more texture to the card.

When I went to the Craft fair in Manchester earlier on in the month, I managed to pick up a jar of Tonic Nuvo glimmer paste. I though this was the ideal card to try it out on to give further texture to the card. The glitter has a lovely iridescent sparkle to it which shines as the light catches it.
