Hello there, I hope you’re having a great week! I’m having quite a busy week but I’ve managed to bring you this card today. It is part of another Brutus Monroe Blog hop and it is part of a collaboration with Karen Burniston Dies. I have never worked with Karen Burniston dies before, but can I just say they are so easy to work with and very fun and unique. They pair brilliantly with Brutus Monroe products and I hope you find lots of inspiration along the Karen Burniston blog hop from the fabulous design team!
I created a cute little scene using Brutus Monroe stamps and inks with the Natures edge die set from Karen Burniston. If you are a UK reader, you can pick up Karen Burniston dies over here too, I have had a google and there are some shops stocking them in the UK so do check them out!

BRUTUS MONROE: KAREN BURNISTON BLOG HOP card Details
First of all, I created 3 pieces of watercoloured cardstock to create the grassy area. I used Cabbage Colour Burst from Brutus Monroe, these work just like Brusho powders, but you can get them in a range on Brutus Monroe colours! This cabbage works well for grass. I tapped the powder onto a piece of Smooth Watercolour Cardstock and spritzed well with water. The powder has a variety of pigments in it to make the colour so you get lots of texture. I also used a Brusho colour as well so I could get an ombre in the grass. These were set to one side to dry whilst I worked on the rest of the card.
For the sky, I cut several pieces of Alabaster cardstock using the cloud die from the Karen Burniston die set. Using a blending tool, I blended Cornflower and then Rock Candy Surface inks on from the bottom fading out to white. Adding the colour with a blending tool helps to give a soft subtle look to create more realistic clouds. For the sky background, I just blended on Cornflower onto a white card panel.
The stamps are from the Sweet Pops stamp set. The carrot was stamped in Raven Black Detail ink and coloured with watercolour pens. Remember, Raven Black Detail ink is waterproof when dry.

Once the grass panels were dry, I used the 2 remaining dies from the Karen Burniston set to cut a variety of grass banks. These were layered onto the card panel and the stamps added in between layers. This was framed with an Alabaster cardstock rectangle stitched frame.
A sentiment was die cut several times out Lunchbag cardstock and layered on top of another. To add definition, an additional Raven cardstock die cut was added slightly offset and a sentiment was stamped beneath. Lastly, Acrylic Bubbles and clear Nuvo drops were added to the background.

Which other sites in UK did You find that sell Karen Burniston dies except CraftsULove, which does not yet have the newest release on pre-order? I order from UK but live in Sweden where no shop sells the newest KB dies. /Katja W

There are a few places that sell a small selection of Brutus Monroe products. You can also get some on Amazon UK but can’t guarantee the range or the quantity. ?
Those carrots are absolutely adorable, and they look really cool sticking out from behind the grass die.
