Brutus Monroe: April Monthly Stamp Club

Hello, good to see you over here on the blog. Brutus Monroe has a new 2 X 3 stamp for April Monthly Stamp club, and this month you have a little pop-up clown. This is a great little stamp for making a fun child’s birthday card. I used the stamp to create a clean and simple vellum window shaker card.

*For supplies featured in this post, please refer to the links at the end of the post.

April Monthly stamp club Card Details

To start off, stamp the clown in Raven Detail Ink onto a sheet of vellum. You can use a variety of media to colour the image, I used simple Crayola pens to colour on the reverse of the vellum. I coloured the reverse of the vellum to have a smoother appearance on the front.

These Crayola pens will allow you to blend on vellum and you can dab away any excess build of ink.  For the spots on the top, I used a gel pen and coloured on the front side of the image. When your image is dry, apply this to a white rectangle die cut window card panel. Layer the back of the window with foam and fill with shaker elements. I used some sequins and beads in corresponding colours.

Seal the back of the shaker window with another piece of white card. Mount the shaker panel onto a black card base. Add a heat embossed sentiment with Raven Black Embossing powder and the Botanical stamp set. Lastly, added a few additional sequins on the front with Brutus Monroe Craft glue as embellishments.

Did you like this project? Why not pin it and save for later? It will be there for when you need it!
