Brutus Monroe: Featuring Sweet Pops stamp set

Hello, good to see you here. The Inspiration team at Brutus Monroe have come together again to showcase a wide range of projects using the fabulous Sweet Pops stamp set. The characters in this set are so fun that I decided to use them on their own rather than as a ‘sweet pop’ becuase they are just so adorable!! I created two cards with the same layout and technique and they came together in no time!

Sweet Pops Stamp Card Details

To start off I stamped the little bird 6 times in Raven detailed ink. Once dry, you can watercolour with this ink which is fantastic. I used my Zig Clean Colour Brush markers and a waterbrush to colour in the birds. When they were dry I die cut these out with my Silhouette Cameo, but you can easily dussy cut these out.

To create the card panel background, I used 3 distress oxides – Broken china, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans. I used blending brushes for this to get a soft look that fades out, but you can use the ink blending tool with foam applicators too. To create the look, I blended from the middle outwards in a circular motion. I added a few water droplets which I them soaked up with a paper towel for some variation in the background.

To assemble the card, I foam mounted the birds onto the centre of the panel in a pyramid. I had an idea in my head they were a group of cheerleaders coming to say thank you!  I stamped a sentiment in Raven detail ink and forma mounted onto the card panel which was also foam mounted onto a 5″ square white card base. Lastly, I embellished with some Tonic nuvo drops.

Fro the second card, I repeated the process in the same way but changed the colours. I love the bold vibrancy of these carrots! For the background I used Fossilized amber, Spice MArmalade and Abandoned coral distress oxides.

The sentiment was offset to one side and I added some black bakers twine for embellishment. I love the contrast between the black and the orange!

Did you like this project? Why not pin it and save for later? It will be there for when you need it!
